Welcome to Cowboy Church! We are excited to share a bit about our unique community. Here at Stockyard Cowboy Church, we blend the timeless teachings of Christianity with the rugged, down-to-earth values of the cowboy way. Brother Dean Cook and his wife, Laura, started Stockyard Cowboy Church in 2020. This year introduced the world to the swiftness of how life can be changed in the blink of an eye; this was the year of COVID. While many were hunkering down, they were on a mission to create a place for individuals seeking refuge from the wicked ways of this world. It would become a church unlike any other with a welcoming atmosphere for all. Our first service held on that exciting day in November of 2020 brought 32 beautiful souls in attendance, and every service thereafter brings new faces and smiles. There are no strangers under our roof.

"It's a God thing." That is a saying that has crossed my lips many times. Why build a church with so many already in existence? We tend to ask 'Why?' far too often rather than just allow Him to lead us to and through a path that He already knows is good and right. Once again, as He does time and time again, He has proven to be right. There is a need for a church like ours in Mississippi. A church without all of the sparkle and glamor, but with all of the inclusiveness and desire to serve our Lord. The goal laid on my heart was to build an inclusive environment that welcomes all looking for Him. We are growing everyday. Come help us help Him.
